The University of Minnesota Postdoctoral Association Chapter has recognized Dr. Adele DeNicola for her outstanding efforts leading classes at both University of Minnesota and Macalester College in St. Paul. The 2021 University of Minnesota Postdoc Awards in Teaching and Mentoring, specifically recognizes her teaching and mentoring and highlights the multiplicity of skills she employs to both teach and maintain an active research portfolio at the NMRC.
Over the summer, Dr. DeNicola was a mentor to a cadre of LLSURP students doing intensive research in the life sciences. The project pairs traditionally underrepresented undergraduates with scientific mentors who assist them in their academic and professional pursuits. In addition to leading cell and molecular science labs, these accomplishments demonstrate the versatility of Dr. DeNicola as both a researcher and an educator.
